Countless people agree Brad
Wall is a man of vision. Radio show host John Gormley says, "Wall
is one of the best public speakers in Saskatchewan."
Bloggers are also weighing in: "Brad Wall is the
real thing. A gifted speaker, he communicates with vision,
optimism, conviction, humour, self deprecation - and apparently,
without notes," wrote Catherine McMillan of smalldeadanimals.com,
a Saskatchewan-based Blog site, after attending one of Wall's
speaking engagements.
Wall was first elected to the Legislative
Assembly of Saskatchewan as the MLA for Swift Current in 1999, and
re-elected in 2003. He became leader of the Official Opposition
Saskatchewan Party on March 15, 2004.

In September of 2004, Brad Wall released "The Promise of
Saskatchewan: A New Vision for Saskatchewan's Economy," which
garnered much praise.
An editorial in the Saskatoon Star Phoenix stated, "Wall's plan
presents an optimistic alternative that bears close scrutiny and
sets the stage for a debate long overdue for this province to
outgrow its poor cousin role in Confederation." (Jan. 22/05)
In February of 2005, at the Saskatchewan Party's annual
convention, pundits and opinion leaders were impressed with Wall's
vision for Saskatchewan and his ability to connect with the
public.
- Wall's efforts to build bridges with First Nations is not
going unnoticed. As a result, the chiefs are 'enthralled' with
Wall, says grand Chief Gary Merasty, one of a new generation of
pragmatic young First Nations leaders." (Straight Talk, Randy
Burton, Star Phoenix, Feb. 8, 2005)
- Brad Wall's weekend policy makeover of the Saskatchewan
Party, accomplished after only a year at the party's helm, is
noteworthy." (Star Phoenix Editorial, Feb. 8/05)
- Sask. Party gets the health message." (Melville Advance,
Jan. 26/05)
But there is one thing that comes before his passion for
Saskatchewan, and that's his family. Wall and his wife Tami reside
in Swift Current where they are busy raising three children:
Megan, Colter and Faith. One of Wall's personal goals is to be
home every night to tuck in his children.
Brad Wall is involved in his community. Prior to being elected,
Brad was the Director of Business Development for the City of
Swift Current. In 1999, the Saskatchewan Economic Developers
Association (SEDA) presented Brad with the Economic Developer of
the Year Award (for 1998). He has also sat on a number of boards
including being a founding member of the Southwest Centre for
Entrepreneurial Development. Somewhere in there, he also found
time to start his own business, The Last Stand Adventure Company.
