Highways Department to Look Into Highway #4 Concerns Near
Swift Current
Swift Current MLA Brad Wall today announced that as a result of enquiries
he has made on behalf of constituents, specific areas of concern
on Highway 4 north of Swift Current will be the subject of review
by the Department of Highways and Transportation.
The
review is intended to determine the need for improvements at the
intersection of the Skyline Road and Highway 4 as well as the
section of Highway 4 immediately south of the Saskatchewan Landing
bridge.
"A
number of constituents have expressed concern to me about safety
issues at these two locations/9 Wall said. "I have
been in contact with Highways officials on these issues and I
appreciate their willingness to take the first step and at least
look into these areas."
Wall
encouraged any other constituents who have concerns about these
areas to pass them on to his constituency office in Swift Current
or directly to the Minister Maynard Sonntag's Legislative Assembly
office.
'The
more public input that can be registered about these two areas, or
any other for that matter, by people who share concerns for
traffic safety can only assist in our efforts to work with the
Highways Department towards addressing the challenges." Wall
concluded.
